“I was born in June 7, 1967 in south-estonia,in Võru.My parents and whole family were involved with music. Dad played bass and
bayan,mother played accordion and grandmother played zithers.
None of them did not know the notes and had no musical education, they were just a musical by nature.
When I was very little my grandmother took me to church choir rehearsals and I spent most part of my childhood in the local culture house
"Võru Kannel" amateur theatre where she worked as costumier.I participated as actress in several plays as well.
Already in early childhood I liked to play on piano different music by ear, especially "Ruja" songs, most of them I knew by heart"
1982 a. Graduated piano speciality with honors from "Võru Children's Music School". That same year she wanted to join "Georg Ots Tallinn
Music College" in Tallinn, to learn variety piano but this year they did not have an admission to desired profession and therefore were no other
option than to take classical piano speciality.
“However, I liked the light style music more and all free moments I spent in variety music department where I got my first band experience..I
started writing music and attended many times to “Uno Naissoo's creative contest for young authors”. I got diploma for song ”Kesköö tund”
which was performed by young Pearu Paulus (lead singer of “2Q Start”) who was studying trumpet at that time. I was also interested in the
theater and the performing arts and desired to try to go to drama school but in lack of the courage it did not happen.”

After completing her studies she began to work as a musician,
daytime as funeral organist and in the evenings as performing musician.
1992-1996 worked in cruise ships between Tallinn-Helsinki as the musician and the cruise manager.
1995-2000 started duo "Külmast Võetud" mainly played popular dance music,
but recorded own original songs as well.

1998 - 2007 collaboration with “Lament” as keyboardist,singer and back vocalist.
2006-2007 studied at Tallinn University of sound design and movie sound editing.
In 2006 participated in Estonian Eurovision Contest with Marilin Kongo band as keyboardist and
back vocalist,with the song "Be 1 st", 8th place. Click -HERE- to see video
2006-2008 International band “G.E.T Back”
2000-2009 collaboration with the band "Meie Mees".
This time period will also cover marriage with kalle Susi (2002)
and the birth of the twins Anna and Paula Susi (2003).
2005 began to record original music with various musicians,
released first single "Äärelinna Kohvik" (produced by Roland Rand)
2006 single "Unistuste Vikerkaar" (produced by Ivar Must)
2007 single "Leia see Jõud" (produced by Roland Rand)
2007-2009 “ Funki Factori” lead singer and keyboardist.
2010 started as music producer,
and released the singles: "Just See On See" (2010) and "Veider Vabrik" (2011
2011-2012 lived in Spain
"I needed a break and opportunity to look at everything from a little distance."
Returned from Spain began to prepare her debut album.She was wrighting songs and lyrics.
2014 was released the debut album "Üksi Üksolemises".
The recording took place in the Netherlands, Arnhem at Sound Vision Studio along with the reputed
Dutch studio musicians Mark Dekkers(bass),Mendel Moerenhout(drums) and George Konings(quitars).
All singings and keyboards are performed by Merike.Album is produced by George Konings.
Merike has been collaborated with many the very best of Estonian musicians and
with a lot of musicians from all over the world.
During solo career song recordings she has been participated with great Estonian musicians like Roland
Rand,Ivar Must,Tõnu Hallik,Angela Aak,Joosep Kõrvits,Priit Jääger,Siim Usin,Urmas Lattikas,Raivo
Tafenau,Ivo Lille,Indrek Tetsmann,Veiko Kittask etc.
Today - Merike Susi is independent solo artist who gives concerts, writes music, and offers personal
teaching of piano and singing lessons - also in group classes, putting people together to perform and to
create music.

1998 - 2007 koostöö ansambliga Lament klahvpillimängijana,taustalauljana ja
lauljana.
2006-2007 õppis Tallinna Ülikoolis helidisaini,filmide helindamist.
2006 a.aastal osales Eesti Eurolaulul Marilin Kongo bandi koosseisus
klahvpillimängija-ja taustalauljana,laul "Be 1-st",8.koht. Laulu videot vaata SIIT
2006-2008 rahvusvaheline band G.E.T Back
2000-2009 koostöö ansambliga Meie Mees.
Sellesse ajavahemikku jääb abiellumine Kalle Susiga(2002) ning
kaksikute Anna ja Paula Susi sünd(2003).
2005 hakkas salvestama erinevate muusikutega originaalmuusikat,ilmus

2007-2009 oli ansambli Funki Factori eestvedaja,laulja ja klahvpillimängija.
2010 alustas ise produtseerimisega ja ilmusid singlid:
"Just see on see"(2010) ning "Veider vabrik"(2011)
2011-2012 elas Hispaanias.
“Vajasin puhkust ja võimalust kõike pisut eemalt vaadelda.”
Naasnud Hispaaniast hakkas valmistuma enda debüütalbumi salvestuseks, kirjutas
muusikat ning tekste.
2014 ilmus debüütalbum "Üksi üksolemises" millel kõlab tema enda loodud muusika
ning osaliselt ka tema tekstid.Salvestus toimus Hollandis,Arnhemis Sound Vision
Studios koos Hollandi tunnustatud stuudiomuusikute Mark Dekkersi ja Mendel
Moerenhout’iga.Produtsendina osales George Konings.
Merike on teinud koostööd väga paljude ja väga heade eesti muusikutega.
Enda soolokarjääri lugudes on salvestustel osalenud Roland Rand,Ivar Must,Tõnu
Hallik,Angela Aak,Joosep Kõrvits,Priit Jääger,Siim Usin,Urmas Lattikas,Raivo
Tafenau,Ivo Lille,Indrek Tetsmann,Veiko Kittask jne.
Täna on Merike Susi iseseisev sooloartist,annab kontserte,kirjutab muusikat ning
tegeleb klaveri ja lauluõpetuse personaalsete tundide andmisega .Tegeleb ka
grupitundidega,pannes rahva koos musitseerima ning muusikat looma.
